STAMFORD, CT — Jonathan Jacobson, a member of the Stamford Board of Representatives, has announced his candidacy for state representative in the General Assembly's 148th District.

Jacobson, a Democrat, is a local attorney who has served on the Stamford Board of Reps. in District 12 since 2016.

"I am excited to announce my candidacy for State Representative and to potentially have the opportunity to serve the people of the 148th District," Jacobson said in an announcement Thursday. "Elected officials should be held to the highest level of ethical standards, and I am committed to live up to that expectation while addressing the issues that matter most to our residents, including costs of living, affordable housing, public safety, and reproductive freedom."

Through his campaign, Jacobson "will be actively engaging with constituents to listen to their concerns, share their vision for the future, and build a coalition of support to bring about positive change to our community," his announcement said.

State Rep. Anabel Figueroa (D) currently represents the 148th District. She won the seat against Republican Olga D. Anastos in a special election in March 2023 following the resignation of Democrat Dan Fox.
